Fallenstein Field is named after the late Al & Erla Fallenstein, through the Mankato Area Foundation. The Fallensteins were very supportive of the local community and their family continues to support the Miracle League of North Mankato through volunteering, donations and fundraising events.

Fallenstein Field is the ONLY barrier free handi-capped and wheelchair accessible softball/baseball field in Minnesota that was built for children AND adults with all types of disabilities, giving everyone the opportunity to participate.  Fallenstein Field was built according to National Wheelchair Softball Association (NWSA) specifications, providing opportunities for children & adults with all types of disabilities to actively participate in softball/baseball activities, including competitive wheelchair softball.
